Gunmen Invade Abuja Community, Kidnapped Four.

A group of over 30 gunmen invaded the Bmuko community in Abuja around 11:50 pm, kidnapping at least four people, including the wife and brother of Engineer Patrick, a pastor, and a young man. The eyewitness, Isah, described how the kidnappers, armed with AK47 rifles, stormed the community, shooting sporadically and breaking into homes.

The kidnappers divided into two groups, with one heading towards the riverside and the other towards the hillside, where they kidnapped additional victims. The community leaders quickly alerted the police and soldiers, who responded promptly, but the kidnappers escaped with their victims. The community has been demanding a police outpost to reduce crime in the area, and the leaders emphasized that regular police patrols could have prevented this incident.

The community leaders expressed frustration and concern over the lack of adequate security in the area, despite repeated requests for a police outpost. They noted that the presence of a police outpost would have deterred the kidnappers and potentially prevented the incident. The leaders also praised the swift response of the security personnel and soldiers, but lamented that the kidnappers were able to escape with their victims.

The incident has left the community in a state of fear and anxiety, with many residents calling for increased security measures to prevent future attacks. The police have promised to investigate the incident and increase patrols in the area, but the community remains skeptical about the effectiveness of these measures.
